San Elijo School, which opened in 2004 will accommodate grades kindergarten through eight until enrollment is sufficient to support the opening of San Elijo Elementary School.
Area High school students currently attend San Marcos High School. This school, a comprehensive 9-12 grade school, became a California Distinguished School in May, 1996 and received a full six-year Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation in 1997. There is a full roster of academic and elective courses, including an Advanced Placement and Honors program. Students may participate in a myriad of extracurricular activities.
